in-laws have a 2006 iMac that only has 1GB of RAM that run really slow. I'm not sure if 2GB will make a HUGE difference, but I've read that 2006 iMac's can't handle any more than 3GB of RAM.

So my question is, will the 2GB of RAM (two 1GB chips) I took out of my 2009 MBP be compatible with a 2006 iMac?
