Yeah this will become the test in the WCC for my zags... Playing you guys and Saint Mary's it's easy to get pumped up for the game because you two are respectable opponents and either one of our teams could beat each other since we're so familiar with each other. It's when my zags start playing the bottom feeder teams on the road when it becomes a mine field as both BYU and GU discovered playing Portland last year. I really wish the WCC would give more incentive for these teams to get better because unlike you guys GU has no other option for conferences since we don't have a football team. Teams like Santa Clara have the money to make there bball team more competitive. Pacific has had recent success in the early 2000s so for them it's just a matter of getting better recruits and being in the WCC will help there cause coming from their last conference. San Fran has the history and of recent have been getting better even with the amount of transfers they've had. Once Saint Marys comes out of there sanctions and gets a better arena they can be even better. The WCC should alot the money accordingly for the teams that are producing and making the tourney instead of doing an even distribution of the money pot. I lurk this board a lot and read a lot of your opinions about leaving the WCC but what are your opinions about how the WCC could be a better basketball conference? No reason with the markets our league plays in that we can't be the Big East of the west.
