I don't believe it has anything to do with JC ball, but Rose played with Phi Slama Jama and for the most part, his best players have been guards and wings. It's harder to develop bigs in high school because they can dominate just because of size, don't need fundamentals as much. It could also be Rice and Nashif feeling more comfortable with a running game. If you have confidence in your shooters, it's easier to get open shots before the defense is set up.

When he had good post people (Plastaid, Davies), he included them heavily. I think the better question is why many of our bigs have not developed more over their 4 years. Is that on Rose? Asst coaches? At the very least they should rebound, play D and set solid picks.
