I am not disagreeing with your comments but there is a little more to what I was saying. My point is that to get to the next level (Elite 8) you need to have some form of an inside game. As I watch basketball I see that teams that recruit more heavily in the east seem to have more of a mindset to take it inside. Out west they play more around the perimeter. I think one of the thing things that influences this is the lack of playground basketball played out west. The kids growing up tend to play in gyms and play full court. When you are playing outside and the game is half court it is more compressed. You cannot out run anyone so you become more physical in your style of play.
