No, he's not a world beater. But yes, he has more potential than I think CB is giving him credit for.

1. He plays very good defense. He's strong in there and has avoided fouling a lot more this year.

2. His footwork inside is very good. His finishing is still awkward, but it's better this year than last year. Yes, he missed a wide-open layup. Yes, he misses a lot of shots. But his release is looking better and his footwork gets him open pretty well. He's hit a couple of them. I really think he could start hitting and become a decent scorer (not like Davies, but still decent).

3. His rebounding isn't the best right now, but that's all mentality. He'll improve here.

4. He's BIG. He's a big big guy. Honestly, he's not only tall but built. That's a big plus.

I know he hasn't been great yet. That stretch during the Utah game may have cost us the game. But I'm not writing him off by any means. He has the size, footwork and defense... and I'm seeing the potential. Rose was right.
