a couple thousand North Koreans, how in the world do they have the infrastructure and manpower to pull off a hack as big as the one against Sony, much less to be able to credibly threaten the rest of the world enough to get them to stop distribution of this movie?

It all just seems really weird, and it makes me wonder what the real story is.
