Jeremy lin was an injury away and extreme luck from you never knowing who he is. There are plenty more just like him. I guarantee you that if jimmer would have went to Syracuse and walked on you wouldn't know who he is. Rose helped create and develop him and said if someone would do the same in the nba he would be good. But rose knew someone would have to do the same thing he did and let him grow.
