As one raised in Alaska, I can definitively state that eskimos do, on occasion,
dress up like eskimos -Though, it was rather a rare occurrence.
(Though, it should be noted that the lyricist was likely coming up with a creative way to say "bundling up well," unrelated to the actual appearance of the peoples indigenous to the polar regions of North America)
