It shouldn't be that bad 5 months into it. Take it to apple and get a new one.

My 5s was giving me a full day (barely) for the first 9 months the last 3 months i had to charge it around 5 to make it through the rest of the day.

The iphone 5 battery wasn't great. My iphone 6 battery is tremendous.
