What kid would want to play on ESPN is what you're asking.

Um...EVERY kid wants to be on ESPN. There have actually been recruits say that one of the things they're excited about is the fact that they know they'll be playing on ESPN.

You don't think kids want exposure? You really think they'd rather play Wyoming on some CBS Sports channel than Virginia on ESPN? To most of the world, 75% of the MWC might as well be Savannah State. No one knows who they are and no one cares. So what you have left is playing on ESPN.

I get that BYU would be better off in a conference. But anyone who thinks any conference is better than independence isn't thinking straight. P5, sure. The rest? eh.
