It's not really an extreme example.
BYU has been pulling in top 25 recruiting classes the past few years so to make a significant jump in recruiting they would need to start landing top 10 classes.

That is where teams like Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky live.

I just find it interesting that BYU recruiting has VASTLY improved over the past 10 years. What Coach Rose is doing is very impressive. Has BYU relied heavily on talent from Utah? Absolutely. But when you have one of the best high school programs in the entire country just up the road, you would be foolish not to. I'm not from Utah and I'm definitely not a cheerleader for Utah amateur sports but even I can admit Lone Peak has produced some outstanding players.

We are recruiting at a level that is, quite frankly, unsustainable yet people still want to complain about the players Rose brings in. It doesn't make any sense.
