Someone explain how there is a widening talent gap between P5 and non-P5 when there is still roughly the same number of available scholarships per team today (maybe even fewer per team) and a larger talent pool than there has ever been in terms of kids participating in the sport.
I do not buy that the gap is widening. What kid really wants to sit the bench at Oregon State versus play at BYU? This is how BYU got Uani Unga. Unga is a good example of talent gets spread around.
Does Colorado State have weaker depth than Utah? Yes, but they also had weaker depth than Utah in 1995.
