You might check the avg adjustment timeframe for a program that takes a big step
up in conf affiliation, and the time it takes for recruiting and resources to kick in. I always felt the Utah/TCU mockery was likely to backfire in the near future.
One season doesn't mean anyone will contend or compete respectably every year, but SLC has pluses that make it better than Corvalis, Pullman, and comparable to Boulder. Idk, I think the P12 bottom feeder argument is more about BYU fans feeling better about their current status and bruised ego over Utah passing them by in regards to conf affiliation and the truckloads of shekels and recruiting it provides.
More than anything, saying a team sucks that is 8 of 10 or whatever, w a recent 54-10 beatdown at home just irritates the crap outta my competitive streak.
