Part of it, I believe, is that expectations for Worthington aren't particularly high at this point. That said, his hustle absolutely helped lift us for a key stretch in the 2nd half.
Luke (unlike Halford--another "effort" guy) plays within himself and gives his absolute best. He may yet improve his skills around the basket so as to be more effective. The misses right around the basket can be frustrating, but when he's in, it's because he's the best option we can currently put on the floor. In the mean time, it's tough to be too down a guy that 1) fills a role we need 2) does his level best night in, night out 3) doesn't force the issue beyond what he's capable of doing.
