The evidence is that they're already paying us sweet coin, and they're helping
us schedule some great home games out into years beyond our contract years. If ESPN is willing to pay good money for our current inventory of games, why do you think they won't want our future, much better inventory of games? Where else are they going to find the same kind of content to fill those later time slots? The only possibilities are the Pac12 (ESPN already gets some of those games, but they have to share with FOX and the pac12 network - so, there's nothing additional for ESPN to be found in there) and BSU/MWC. ESPN already gets a few BSU games a year, and they clearly are not at all interested in anybody else in that conference. So, where else can ESPN go to find inventory to put in the later time slots? Well, it's BYU. I'm not only very confident that we'll get another deal from ESPN, but I'm pretty sure we're going to get a nice raise out of the deal.

There's a reason why ESPN works so closely with Tom to put schedules together, and it's not because they're sorry they signed us or they are planning to dump us in a few years. People around here need to get a grip, and realize that their "beloved" football program is actually in pretty darn good shape. Soooo many programs wish they could have what we have, and yet many around here cry all day long, every day, about the state of the program.
