IF you are going to play chicken, you better be prepared to lose. I suppose Whit has 2 years left on his deal which is his safety net, but man, if he stays, he did himself no favors with how publicly this is playing out.

Perhaps his end game is to get the U to can Hill. If so, then it makes more sense if it is a power play by Whit. Otherwise, it is a head scratcher.
