It may be that in the past BYU was okay with a few losses as long as they generally has decent teams and had no problems off the field. But the last few years have shown that this fanbase won't tolerate mediocrity--especially when everyone in charge seems so okay with it.

Maybe the BOT still has this opinion, but apathy and lack of dollars being thrown at the program by many hardcore fans will be a wake up call. It will force BOT to change how they think. Either they will get on board and pay for a top program or they will settle for less and less as fan support and dollars decrease to the point we settle firmly down as a bottom dweller in FBS football or possibly even go FCS.

I just can't see the status quo holding as is. I sure hope it goes the right direction but something's gonna have to give soon IMHO.
