Bottom line: BYU offensive efficiency is 9th, defensive efficiency is 169th!
Hand wringing over offensive style, strategy, or supposed limitations aside, BYU is among the very best in the nation in points per possession while they continue to play third rate defense, i.e. points per possession by opponents is very high.

Earlier in the season, it looked like the defense had improved slightly over last year. It now looks slightly weaker. The players are both hustling and athletic. Perhaps coaches should consider the effectiveness of their defensive philosophy. What they have been doing has not been working and blaming the players won't fly.

Offense is not the problem. top 25 teams have top 50 defenses, at least!
