1st was a ticket, 74 in a 55. Yewt move by that city because it's a stretch of freeway they drop the speed limit from 65 to 55 for no reason besides speed-trapping people who don't notice.

2nd was just last week, actually. 11 at night, completely empty streets. Rolled through a stop sign, saw the cop car half a second too late, and thought it'd be even dumber to re-brake 6 feet into the intersection. When the cop car's headlights came on, I just went through the intersection, pulled myself over and waited. Pulled up behind me, was a gal cop, she asked if I knew why she pulled me over, both of us knowing it was obvious, since I'd pulled over before she'd even turned her flashers on. I figured it wouldn't be a good idea to wisecrack that I pulled myself over, so I apologetically said, "Yeah, I rolled through it."
She ran my license, came back and told me that my driving record is excellent and she's going to let me keep it that way, and that the biggest reason she'd pulled me over was that she had a ridealong that night, and when they asked her how long they'd probably have to wait at that spot before they saw a roll through, she said no more than five minutes. I grinned and asked how long. 30 seconds. I laughed, told her I was glad I could be somebody's cautionary tale, and thanked her for her kindness.
When I told my wife, she said I'm lucky I'm a guy, girls are mean to each other. I'm figuring it was as much that she could tell I was sober as the driving record, but I won't complain that my wife thinks a lady cop thinks I'm worth going easy on.
