The team is losing to the likes of Pepperdine, St. Marys and San Diego. Let us stop and think for a moment what would happen to any top 25 coach who lost to those 3 teams in a two week stretch. They would be criticized. BYU draws 20,000 fans to the Marriott Center and expects a top 25 product yearly. So while he has won a lot of games in his tenure it doesn't make him untouchable to critics. He has his style of play that works when the shots fall. When the shots don't fall he loses. Now, there are many exceptional coaches who understand that you can't rely on outscoring teams to win games. Sometimes you actually have to play defense. It's those coaches who can also strategize end of game situations that can overcome sub par shooting. They are called "great" coaches. Rose needs to develop into that type of coach. It won't happen overnight. His system is what it is. But yes there are major flaws to the system he uses. And, when talent is there and shots fall, advantages.
