The WCC was averaging 2,888 fans per game as a conference. Enter BYU and that average jumped up to 3,880 fans per game. That is a 25% increase....which means more ticket sales and more TV revenue. When the WCC bagged BYU they got the biggest basketball fan base and program as far as relevancy out of all the conferences in the west (PAC12, MWC, WAC)....the 2nd biggest after Kansas if you add the Big12. In the rankings of attendance we sit at #11 nationally with the next WCC program being Gonzaga coming in at #87. So excuse us for mentioning the weight of our program, fans and money we bring to the WCC. Heck, the Big Sky Conference would be the same thing if it wasn't for Gonzaga being in the WCC.
