The PAC 12 doesn't bode well because their teams are in large cities with lots of competing activities and interest. The MWC puts up better attendance numbers than they do. Add the commuter factor to that as well. I'll take Utah for an example. The Utes have to compete with the Jazz. Also being a commuter school once your students drive off campus to go home they aren't coming back for a game that night. At BYU it's a traditional University. Kids are already on campus...it's part of the experience.
