I'd never given that stat much thought, as it really isn't a measure of much of
anything. Throw me on the court with Jordan, Hakeem, Duncan, and Stockton, and I'd probably have a pretty dang good +/- rating if I just stood there and did absolutely nothing. In fact, it would probably be better than if I actually tried to do anything. So, I get yours and BlueFrog's point, but....
It's still interesting that the meaningless +/- stat pretty much sorts out the starters from the bench players.
