Again, Algie is great at what he does, but what he does has a role. He's not a feature back. He's not going to get 15+ a game as long as there's a solid tailback. Burt's role has little to do with Algie. Burt is not a FB. Algie will be great but so was Tahi. So was Vakapuna. They're FB role players. He's a great sidekick, not the show.
I know fans want to hold out hope for Hine like they did Apo, but it's time to face that he is what he is. He'll be fun to watch on KR that's for sure. But that's it. And dropping 10 lbs at his position and size isn't really a RB thing to do. I doubt we'll see him carry the ball much.
So back to Burt at tailback... It comes down to the future... Jamaal, West, Canada. I think they're all in line in front of Burt. Maybe he proves otherwise. It seems the move was more of a safety valve. I don't think they'll let him waste away at RB if those other two show up big time. Which i think they will.
