Anyone who wants a good career in Accounting should start out with a Big 4 firm. It's gruesome work, but you put in four years and you can write your own ticket after that. As others on here have said, if you really want to get into Business consulting, accounting is a great way to do it, but you definitely have to pay your dues first.

That being said, it definitely is not as cool as being a rock star or a professional athlete. If you can do one of those instead, I'd say either would be a better choice, and would possibly get you more chicks.
