[serious response]: I certainly think that is a possibility
As I've stated multiple times, they may not have cheated. The ball security improvement may not be related to the football treatment at all. If it is related to the football treatment, they may have achieved it very legitimately within the rules. The NFL hasn't provided enough real information on this topic yet.

For example, did all 12, or just 11 footballs experience the drop in pressure? Did they actually experience a 2 lb drop as some have reported, or just a 1 lb drop as others have reported. Did Indy's footballs experience a similar drop, a different drop, no drop?

These are facts that might actually be released someday.

If, in the end, the ball treatment is significant and is within the rules, other teams would be wise to copy it (as I've also previously stated).

For some reason, people want to read what I've written as having concluded that the Pats cheated and that I'm offering proof of that notion. I'm not sure why this is. I've only showed suspicious numbers (that have been since backed up by others outside of CougarBoard) and showed that several explanations put out there to explain them don't stand up to the numbers while the "ball treatment" idea is still in play. Sorry that is so offensive to so many that they have to relentlessly tear down and insult.
