They should be prosecuted in The Hague for crimes against humanity.
If they reboot it to pay homage to and follow the originals, then there's a chance it could work. That's actually a solid cast. Leslie Jones is hilarious. And there are plenty of good stories to tell in a world where ghosts are a sufficient nuisance that professionals have to be called in to deal with the problem; the first two didn't come close to exhausting the possibilities.
I think they're going the former route, so it will almost definitely suck.
