However, to say there is not beauty means that they have not been to the right PARTS of NM and only have driven on I-40, etc. Like I said, there are some boring, ugly places in NM-- but same with AZ and UT and CO-- while they all have great places. NM does not put it's best face forward, but it does have some great places.

Saying all of NM is ugly is like saying Utah is ugly becuase all you drive is between Crescent Junction and Price or saying AZ is ugly becuase all you ever drive is Holbrook to Winslow.

Also, Beauty is found in different things. like SBJ states, there is no beating a NM Sunset-- I have been all over and never have seen anything to match them during the Monsoon season.
