Makes more sense but 13 months ago i paid off house 3 1/2% loan with no regret,

despite making 12% on stock investments last year. but i am an old guy and might not have done the same had i been able to do the same decades ago.

it was a 30 fixed loan with 28+ years remaining.

There is just something about having no debt that feels better. and i have been a lifelong finance guy.
