You’re absolutely right: his past does not make his statements false.

But his past doesn’t make them true either.

Putting his past aside, didn’t some of Jason's own statements today sounded a little "delusional" (e.g., 90% of the alums...)? Jason could be completely correct, but should his statements/ opinions / motivations all be believed on blind faith, or because he was a good player decades ago?
