I have no real knowledge of why we don't recruit Europeans but one reason might be that Europe has become very secular and with the rise of professional basketball many of these kids are playing in high level leagues early on. They are also living a life style that would not be conducive at BYU.

Most seem to forget that when Cosic first came to BYU he was baffled with the HC rules. A lot of people did not think he would be back for a second year. His biggest issue was the freshman rule at the time that kept him, the best player on the team, from suiting up with the varsity.
