Best QB in New Mexico has no scholarship offers. Perception vs production...

Interesting article about recruiting perceptions. This kid has all the measurables (size, weight) and has been very productive, set records in the state's 6A classification, but has zero scholarship offers, from anywhere. It says he visited lots of camps in major conferences, and they "loved him." Apparently recruiters think New Mexico can't produce any football talent. The article mentions BYU has offered Kavika Johnson of Las Cruces NM, so you would think BYU would be aware of this kid. I think this confirms how much recruiting is about perception rather than reality. Probably if a P5 school offered this kid a scholarship, a bunch of other programs would offer him right away.
