Preferred walk-on is essentially consider on team without tryout

Walk-on have to make it on team after open tryouts, even if simply invited too. Either one can get a scholarship extended to them depending on availability and coach opinion. Preferreds have a little better chance at scholarship from the get go but no guarantee and there is no line.
