Why not? Refs are the ones who threw the interceptions, caused the fumbles, were in the wrong places, and made all those dumb calls, and we all know that the players and coaches never made the mistakes themselves. Yet, having reffed various games before I do know that refs can make some terrible calls at times. The blames got to be somewhere, right?
