He plays good defense and is the best rebounder we've had in quite some time. (I guess I should say best rebounding big man, as Kyle is probably every bit as good) There's nothing wrong with relying on him at the five if you have another big who can provide an offensive threat. Davis and Aytes are both capable of that, IMO.
