I think you have a skewed view
I have known multiple PGA players over the years and it is not the glamorous life you seem to think it is. They have to make all of their own travel arrangements, pay for that travel and lodging. They have to hire and pay for a caddie each week. If they don't make the cut they make nothing. They are away from their families.

Most of the players on the PGA tour are not wealthy. Most of them don't last that long on the tour. They face issues that we, as casual golfers, would not think about. They get burned out playing to many events in a row. They suffer injuries from hitting so many balls.

The very elite out there, like in any occupation, are financially secure and live a very good life. But they are the exception and not the rule.
