A few current issues:

- Interference - if everything is wireless, everything is creating the interference. Things like using different channels and wavelengths help, but there is a limit to what's available and can be done. That, and most people don't understand how to resolve interference problems.

- Security - a wired connection is more secure because it's less accessible to intrusion. A neighbor can hack into a secure wireless connection, but has either has to hack in through the internet or physically connect to the line if it's a wired connection.

- Bandwidth - a wired connection still has higher bandwidth

I do love having wireless, but if something is stationary, I still prefer to have it plugged in.
