My question is, why does the NBA have a monopoly on pro basketball in the US,
and the NFL a monopoly on pro football, and therefore the ability to dictate which city gets a team? In any "normal" business, the anti-trust regulators would be all over a business with the market share and anti-competitive practices we see in US pro sports. If the government broke it up, then cities like Seattle would have pro basketball, and LA would have pro football, IMO.
