Gives me the impression he did say something but didn't want TBS to go blurt it out to everyone. I'm sure if it's true he wanted to be the one to announce it. The recruiting services sometimes need to just shut up and let recruits be the ones to break the news first. This is like the 3rd time TBS has blurted something out and recruits have either denied it, or something else.
