No, no specific announcement, but you can take that to the bank. There's a reason why BYU is independent. There is a reason they built the new broadcasting facility. They don't want to be held back by "dinosaur" conferences. Of course, I'm talking about BYU home games at first (b/c they own them), but it will rapidly expand to other entities.

I watched the Super Bowl online for free last year. I will again tomorrow. I could get the whole NFL season that way if I cared. The writing is on the wall. The powers that be are being dragged kicking and screaming into this century. They may be able to hold out yet for a year or two, but that's about it. BYU is positioning itself for this new age. It may not be this season, but it certainly will be within a few years. It just can't go on for long. ESPN has already gone to a streaming only option. The dam is crumbling.
