I think admitting that "both sides" have an argument is fair.
The notion that "All is well" in Provo is simply denial. BYU football doesn't even have the buzz it had during the Max Hall MWC era, obviously much of that was because BYU was winning more so back then but there is other factors as well. One being that the season is essentially done after 1 loss. I know plenty long time die hard BYU fans that are frustrated about the season being over every year by Mid October while other programs are just starting to get into the fun parts of their schedule.

BYU football is front loaded and playing a dangerous game of keeping fans interested by having names on the front end of the schedule buy yet standing on the slippery slope of losing those games and taking the tainted record into the boring part of the season filled with garbage home games that have no meaning.
