People forget that the NC was played on Sunday...
from 1987 - 2004. The decision to move to a Sunday championship game led to Coach Seggar's retirement.
During that time of Sunday championship games, interest in BYU rugby waned and they often barely reached .500.
Once the NC game moved back to Saturday, BYU rugby began to thrive again.
