knowledgeable about the game. Part of being a knowledgeable basketball fan is understanding that you really don't get undefeated seasons, refs sometimes stink, etc. etc. Combine that with knowing they're IN. And probably in at a #1 or 2 seed, plus 98% sure they'll rock it up throughout the WCC Tourney=that degree of levelheadedness.
It's kind of like a Yankees team that is 5 games up and guaranteed a playoff spot doesn't mind the umpire messing up a couple vs. a Chicago cubs team a half game behind a wildcard slot. One can afford to be level headed; one has to try to be level headed.
Now, combine that with the fact that Gonzaga fans ARE basketball fans and have a greater % that understand basketball. And many casual fans that follow the team. Vs. BYU where, yes, we have a bigger national following, but most are football fans, which means basketball is sixth on their priority list. For most, they don't really understand basketball's nuances (I certainly don't) and is Wrubell tells them there might have been a foul there, then there DEFINITELY (might) was/have been a (n intentional, ejection-worthy) foul there.
