I was in Houston for work, but found time to visit Goliad and the site of the Battle of San Jacinto. Both places were absolutely worth the visit. The monument at San Jacinto is bigger than the Washington Monument (in true Texas fashion). San Felipe and Washington on the Brazos were also interesting, albeit more low key. Highly recommend the trail for people who are interested in American history.w
