reasonable release, but he didn't realize the help defender behind him--& when he last second saw that his shot was likely to get blocked he just flipped it up there prematurely to avoid the block--which is why he immediately went for the rebound.

IOWs, I don't think the shot was intentionally awkward. Let's hope Corbin has a more reasonable skill foundation to work from, anyways!
