You know how your kids cannot keep from annoying each other in the car? "He's touching me..."

My friends dad would pull to the side of the highway (think of driving through Nevada to Utah 40-50 years ago - no traffic hardly at all) and make his kids run in the summer heat for about a 1/2 a mile. If they walked, he would drive further and break out the treats for everyone else in the car while they waited.

Highly effective.

My dad would just wait until we aggravated him to the boiling point and he would pull over the car, reach around and beat the crap out of us. That worked pretty good too.
