He may not need to be, but IMO, he chooses to be, because he wants to be a true
professional. Here's my problem with media today, Billy Crystal was on ESPN a few years ago before Chris Paul was set to be a FA, and most thought he would leave the Clippers. Crystal was interviewing Paul on ESPN when he was guest hosting and asked Paul something to the effect of "are you going to leave us?" and the anchor he was with huffed at it and told Billy, we don't use we or us here. ESPN was meant to be unbiased. This is why I loved ESPN as a kid. It was just sports news with very little bias. I had no idea who anyone was a fan of, but now, I can pick almost every team for each anchor and I don't watch it as much as I did as a kid. It has almost gotten to be unwatchable.

I'm glad Hans tries to remain unbiased if true. I wouldn't know because I don't really listen to 1280 or any sports radio at the moment, but if he does, good for him.
