Given our culture's increasing win at all costs mentality and the fact that
we want players to play right to the edge of aggression, I think it's actually a little bit surprising that we don't see more post game brawls and fights like our bowl game and the Texas - Baylor basketball game the other night. Aside from things like suspensions, what should be done to prevent this sort of thing?

Think about it. Some of us have to cool off for a few minutes after watching a close loss on TV from a distance of hundreds or thousands of miles away. Imagine how we would feel if we had an opponent talking smack in our face two seconds after the clock hits zero. I'd probably be more than a little grumpy myself. I'm not saying I condone the violence. I am saying there is a high risk of this sort of thing happening with greater frequency.

On a related note, court and field storming is a recipe for upcoming disasters. As much as it reflects excitement from the winning team's fans, it puts people way to close to serious harm.
