Android has an app that refreshes data for us when on WIFI (probably an iOS version as well).

I can also connect to other Internet calendars (like BYU Football schedule) so that they automatically are a part of the family calendar.

I can also do "schedules" this is separate area on their site where you can enter things like "Middle School Football" and then list regular practice in one area of M-F 3:30-5:30, starting Aug 15 to Oct 15 and it will add that in every day.

You can then go down and list other things like picture day, games, banquet, etc...You could go directly to the calendar to put each item in and could even do a "re-occurrence" but in doing that you have to jump to each area of the calendar for each day for games, etc. It is nice to do this extra section for those kinds of events because you usually are looking at a schedule not in calendar form...

One other aspect about this section is around participants. If MS Football is only really listed for Mom/Dad/1 Child you can pick them as the ones for that schedule and when you go into each item you don't have to select the radio buttons of all the others to remove them...


Note for youth sport clubs I use Google Calendars...I embed those into the web site and provide links to how people can subscribe to them. They can either subscribe/connect to have it pull into their default calendar on their mobile device, into an email client like Outlook, or I even pull those into our Family Cozi account.

Cozi does also have a way to share calendars with others - so for example if our school utilized Cozi I could just pull in their calendar for the year. Unfortunately they don't do that - and they don't use Google - they use Sharepoint calendars which don't seem to have anyway to pull into Cozi or Google
