I have several ford trucks and 1 Silverado 2500, but all from 99-2004.

My takeaway is l that the fords are the roomiest and the towing is better than my Silverado, but like you mentioned is not as comfortable. I don't like the seat and the radio and controls feel too far away.

I'd much rather drive long distance in the Silverado as it drives smoother, quieter, and much more comfy inside.

I don't have much experience or knowledge of the dodges in that range other than when I've ridden in one it feels the roughest and loudest.

For the most part I agree with your review.

When it comes time to get a new one, I'm not sure if I'll go Chevy or ford.

I'll probably go ford just for the towing and the room in the cab. I tow a lot and the kids are getting bigger so the little bit of extra room helps.
